First and foremost, Elida Ceramica, a division of Surfaces, Inc., was founded to honor it’s namesake, Elida Claramonte. She led her life with a tireless work ethic and an entreprenurial spirit, which set an example for Elida’s founder, Albert Claramonte. Secondly, Elida Ceramica was created to emulate the level of customer service and creativity that Elida provided her customers back in 1970 from her very first store in Miami, and transfer it to as many people as possible. Having those two non-traditional reasons for creating our company has helped lay the proper foundation for the most successful glass mosaic company in North America.
Inspired by Elida Claramonte’s creativity and unmatched customer service, Mr. Claramonte and his team began to design, create, manufacture, market, and sell the amazing collections that Elida had been offering for the previous 20 years. Characterized by countless colors, shapes, materials, and combinations, Elida’s collections are considered some of the finest in the world. Since 2008, Elida’s products have been offered at over 1,700 Lowe’s Home Improvement locations throughout North America. In the past, satisfied customers would repeatedly come back to Elida’s first store in Miami, and today they continually come back to the leader in home improvement, Lowe’s, the exclusive dealer of the Elida brand.
